Airside – a building spanning approximately 190,000 square meters in gross floor area consists of two towers. The structure features two levels dedicated to retail spaces and Grade A office floors, along with accompanying car park facilities. Commtech Asia has been appointed as the Full Commissioning agent for this project. Their services encompass two main parts.
The first part focuses on design review, adhering to the requirements set by LEED, BEAM Plus, and Well iCxA. Various aspects are considered during this phase, including MVAC systems, lighting and daylight control systems, renewable energy systems (such as solar hot water systems for desiccant wheel dehumidification), water conservation systems (including rainwater recycling systems), building services systems (including the BMS/BAS system and hydraulic systems), indoor air quality, air and water quality tests, and thermal comfort and acoustic assessments.
The second part of Commtech Asia’s services revolves around full commissioning management. This entails overseeing various installations and systems, such as electrical installations (lighting, generator sets, and security systems), heating, AC, and ventilation systems (chillers, PAU/AHU/FCU, smoke extraction, and pressurization systems), fire services installations, hydraulics installations (plumbing and drainage systems, waste water recovery and recycling systems, and hot water systems), and the implementation of the water-cooled air-conditioning system (WACS), which is a cutting-edge technology known for its energy efficiency. It is worth noting that HH, the MEP contractor, has not provided their role in coordinating sub-contractors.
As an achievement, Airside has obtained the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) BD+C Core certification, highlighting its commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
